Proper Use of Music

Choosing music

The tone of the music should match the tone of the content. In most cases, this means using clean, crisp, professional tracks. Think elevator music, but upbeat.

Additionally, the music should be unobtrusive, as its purpose is to support the content – not upstage it. Accordingly, it’s best to avoid distracting and distinctive music tracks.

Where to get music

You can find music loops and tracks in most audio programs, including GarageBand, Acid, and Soundtrack.

Make sure you own the rights to any music you use in your videos, as copyright infringement in course materials is not permitted per Full Sail policy.
